NEWS --  Eddie C. Campbell Emergency Fund

CAMPAIGN TO BRING EDDIE C. CAMPBELL HOME A SUCCESS!
Eddie C. Campbell

Thanks to the donations raised by friends, family and fans, Eddie C. Campbell is back home in Chicago!!!

During the third week of March, Eddie C. Campbell, accompanied by his wife Barbara Mayson Campbell, was flown home from Germany. His condition has improved slightly and he is continuing intensive therapy to help recover from the stroke and heart attack he suffered while on tour in Germany.

Funds are still needed to help pay the past and continuing medical bills and to support the family.

Please read the article below for details on the history of Mr. Campbell's situation.

You can see photos of the star-filled fundraising show at Rosa's from Feb. 17, 2013 by visiting our Facebook page.

Fundraiser planned for Feb. 17 at Rosa's

Eddie C. Campbell benefit flier

West Side blues guitar great Eddie C. Campbell suffered a heart attack and stroke while on tour in Germany. Here is an urgent message from Eddie’s “manager and mother of his children” Barbara Mayson Campbell:

“He is out of intensive care and stabilized. However, he is at present paralyzed on his right side. We need your help. Time is of the essence; Eddie’s prognosis for a full recovery is dependent upon him receiving the appropriate medical attention including neuro/physical therapy. Eddie has no medical coverage in Germany and, due to his condition, he may only be able to fly commercially with a medical escort or in an air ambulance. The costs will be staggering in the coming weeks and months. Donations are being accepted through the Eddie C. Campbell Assistance Fund PayPal account at the following link:

I appreciate your good will, your prayers and, if possible, your financial support.”

A benefit concert is planned for Sunday Feb. 17 at Rosa’s, 3420 W. Armitage, Chicago. The organizers have put together a “spectacular” lineup of blues talent (see above flier). Doors open at 5 p.m. Showtime is 6 - 11 p.m. there is a $25 cover.
